Hi, I'm Stav.
This site might look like a big brand — but there's no chain and no factory here. There's one person, one kitchen, and one big obsession with real food.
15 years in restaurants
I've been a restaurateur for 15 years. I've managed restaurants, built menus, cooked in professional and home kitchens, and passed through just about every station along the way.
And all along, I cooked at home. Friends who tasted asked me to make some for them too. Then their friends asked. That's how, with no business plan and no grand opening, Ha-Boutique Ha-Katan was born.
The hyper-fixation
I learn cooking techniques through hyper-fixation: when something grabs me, I dive all the way down — Michelin-kitchen techniques, professional equipment, endless trials until it's exact.
My friends say my home is slowly starting to look like a restaurant-supply branch. They're not entirely wrong.
What you get out of it is products of the very highest quality.
Real food is delicious. Really.
We've drifted so far from real food that most of us are no longer sure what we should eat. It drives me crazy — it's hard enough to find your way without an entire industry profiting from the confusion.
So I do the work: I read research every day, cross-check sources, and apply common sense and healthy skepticism. I don't build a menu out of TikTok videos.
And at the end of all that, one simple truth remains: real food is delicious. Not as a slogan — that's just how it comes out when the ingredients and the technique are right.
A few years ago I told a friend that quality food is expensive. His answer changed my mind:
״It's not that quality food is expensive. It's that junk food is cheap.״
My promise
Everything that leaves this kitchen passes through my hands, and I stand behind every jar: if it's not something I'd serve my own family, it's not for sale.
That's the whole story — buying from the neighbor who cooks, except this neighbor has 15 years of professional kitchens and standards he won't lower.
See you in the kitchen,
